Technopark students visited BelNPP

Written by Department of information and public relations

Young people studying in October shift at the National Children's Technopark in the "Future Energy" and "Green Chemistry" programs visited Belarusian NPP.

During the tour, the students had the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the operation of Belarus's largest energy facility, learn about the specifics of personnel training, and immerse themselves in the plant's technological processes. The young people were particularly impressed and intrigued by the power and scale of the turbine plant's equipment.

The educational visit concluded with a meeting with Sergei Bobovich, Director General of Belarusian NPP. During their conversation with the director, the students shared their impressions of the nuclear power plant visit, discussed their hobbies and interests, and their plans for the future. Sergei Bobovich also offered valuable advice and guidance.

Incidentally, in the last three years alone, more than 50 Technopark students have enrolled in energy departments at universities across the country. According to the students themselves, their choice was driven in no small part by the informative and educational visits to Belarusian NPP, which provided a deep dive into the specifics of the energy company's operations.

This time, the traditional visit of Technopark students took the form of an international meeting.

The day of the country's most talented young people's arrival coincided with the conclusion of a visit to Belarusian NPP by representatives of Hungarian Paks-2 Nuclear Power Plant, who were visiting the plant as part of the 8th meeting of  Belarusian-Hungarian Working Group on Nuclear Energy Cooperation.

The meeting took place in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The foreign guests shared their impressions and the results of their work at Belarusian NPP with the students, discussed the progress of the Paks II NPP project, the state of nuclear energy in Europe, and much more.
